Decisions
The questions only you can settle, and how to change an answer.
Some questions have no answer Morevy can work out from the rows alone. When it finds one, it asks you rather than choosing silently. Decisions appear on the month view under Decisions required.
How a decision works
One decision is open at a time. The others fold to a single line with a tag: affects total, affects figures or for the record.
Each option says what it will do before you choose it, for example that the total does not move, or that the review will report revenue earned instead of money collected.
Where Morevy has a view, it marks one option Recommended and says why.
When you answer, the month re-runs straight away with your answer applied.
The questions you may see
Which rows count as recurring revenue? | Asked when a column names one-off charges, such as setup fees, late fees or retail sales. Otherwise every row counts. |
What does the amount mean? | Whether a column holds money that came in, a monthly price or a yearly price. |
Spread each payment over the months it buys? | When plan lengths are known, whether a prepaid plan counts across the months it covers or in the month it was paid. |
Same customer? | When two records look like one customer, for example after an email or ID changed. |
Count this row? | A row that may not belong in the total. Several similar rows are asked together as Count these rows? |
Same charge twice? and Repeated rows? | Rows that appear to duplicate each other, often from attaching two copies of an export. |
Who is the parent? | When one payer covers several accounts. |
Older files left out? | When older files are attached alongside newer ones covering the same months. |

Payments two files both carry. Asked once per customer; the card says how many payments it covers.
Some decisions are about rows in another month. Morevy says so, and asks them when that month is opened.
Changing an answer
Select Change on a recorded decision to reopen it. The month the decision belongs to re-runs on the new answer. If that month was already signed off, its record then says that a newer computation exists.
Where answers are kept
Answered decisions move to Decisions recorded on the month view and travel with the review. Standing answers become rulings, which Morevy applies to later months. You can see and export them under What Morevy knows. See The record and the rulings ledger.
Decisions raised during the review
If the review runs into something that needs you, the plan shows a Needs your ruling row, and Run it waits until it is settled. Anything still open is listed under Waiting on you.
